How do I use night/pregnancy pads?

Like any other sanitary pad of this type! No big deal.

  • Wash your sanitary pads before first use. (Don't be alarmed if the pad shrinks slightly after the first wash. This is just the first wash; it won't shrink again.)
  • Place the insert inside your underwear with the satin side facing up (the patterned side should be used as the contact side). Secure it with wings.
  • Change your pad as often as you would a disposable pad, depending on your comfort level.
  • After your period (or four days, whichever comes first), machine wash your pads at 60°C. We recommend soaking them in cold water for a few hours before washing (to dissolve hemoglobin, which could permanently stain your pads).
  • If you use these pads as maternity pads in the first few days after delivery, bleeding will most likely be quite heavy. Therefore, we recommend soaking and washing your pads more often than the recommended 4 days. (However, this is technically the first week after delivery; in the following weeks after delivery, your bleeding will not deviate much from your normal period.)
